Cat topics we’re looking for
- Breed content — Maine Coon deep-dives, breed comparisons (Maine Coon vs. Ragdoll, Norwegian Forest Cat, etc.), choosing a kitten, working with breeders
- Health — common conditions, senior cat care, HCM and hip dysplasia in large breeds, vet visit prep. Sources required.
- Grooming — long-haired coat care, matting, bathing, shedding seasons
- Behavior — litter box issues, multi-cat households, introducing cats to dogs, play and enrichment
- Nutrition — feeding large breeds, raw vs. kibble, weight management, food transitions
- First-person stories — adoption, rescue, living with a 20-pound lap cat. Honest and specific beats sentimental.
Our standards
- 1,200–2,500 words, 100% original, unpublished elsewhere
- Real expertise or real experience — if you’ve never lived with a cat, it shows in the writing, and we’ll pass
- Clear structure: subheadings, short paragraphs, practical takeaways
- Health and behavior claims cited to studies, veterinarians, or credentialed behaviorists
- Short author bio; one natural, relevant link to your site or portfolio is fine
We don’t accept AI-generated drafts, rewritten content, or promotional pieces disguised as advice. Topics we’ve already covered need a genuinely new angle.
How to pitch
