What the sources say

Six findings that came out of building the tools. Each links to the calculator where you can try it.

How we build these tools

Named sources only

Every number comes from a source we read and name on the page with the date: AAHA, AAFP, Cornell, International Cat Care and the Cat Fanciers’ Association.

Disagreements shown

Where two sources differ, as with cat-to-human age, the tool shows both instead of picking one.

Limits stated

When a tool cannot know something, such as an ideal weight by age for Maine Coons, the page says so.

Private

The calculations run in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us.
